Welsh Language

We believe that each language is a gift.

Why bilingual?

  • Growing up bi-lingual (or even multi-lingual) opens more doors: educationally, professionally, and culturally and allows us access to rich worlds of history and literature. We hope our ethos appeals to all families interested in a bilingual education for their child; whether you speak Welsh or not.

  • Evolving opportunities in the workplace make knowing another language a significant advantage and can help with learning additional languages in the future.

  • Since the pandemic, recruitment within the nursery sector became increasingly difficult. We were advised by Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) to become a bilingual nursery in order to remain open. We are still doing our best to promote the Welsh language within the nursery in our day-to-day activities.

Research shows that students of more than one language tend to score higher on standardised tests and demonstrate improved school performance overall.
